About Me
I’m Shelley, a photographer based in Hixon, photographing families, couples, and everyday moments across Prince George, Quesnel, and Northern BC.
I’m drawn to the moments that are easy to miss — the pause between actions, the quiet humour in ordinary life, and the way light can subtly transform something familiar.
My photography moves between people, animals, and landscapes, because to me they’re all connected. The places we live and the people we love are part of the same story.
I photograph intuitively, watching for balance, energy, and stillness. Some moments are playful, some are quiet, but all are rooted in presence rather than performance.
My goal is simple: to create photographs that feel honest and natural — the kind that invite you to slow down, look a little longer, and recognize something meaningful in the everyday.

What a Session With Me Is Like
My sessions are relaxed and unhurried. I’ll guide you gently when needed, but most of the time I’m simply watching for the real moments as they unfold — laughter, quiet connections, and the little in-between expressions that make your story unique.
You don’t need to worry about being perfect. Kids can run, people can laugh, and we’ll simply capture the moments as they happen.
Where my love for photography began...
Hanging out in the wilds with my sister. Snowshoeing up Hudson Bay Mountain was one of our favourites, whether it be on a snowy blowy day or one so buggy you were breathing in mosquitos. We were happy just to be out enjoying nature and snapping photos of everything and anything.
Fish on...
I grew up with a Dad that loved to fish and he passed that down to me and my siblings. Most of my time was spent collecting rocks and cool driftwood but who doesn't love catching a great fish!
The Alpine...
The alpine is my favourite place to be! There is such peace in my soul when I am so high in the mountains. The pressures of everyday life disappear, my mind feels lighter, my heart feels fuller. If you have not stood on top of a mountain, I highly recommend you do. There is nothing better for the soul than standing tall upon a mountain looking far into the beyond.
